How it works
Add Contacts for Microsoft Outlook will let you forget entering e-mail addresses to the contact folder manually. It automatically builds your address book by adding new contacts when you reply to a message and/or send a new one, which saves a lot of typing.
Work in automatic mode
Besides keeping track of all e-mail addresses you use in your daily correspondence, this handy add-in is good at filtering mail. The Rule Wizard helps you set up conditions for some e-mails from the address book, which will place messages from these senders to a separate folder. Thus, you can be sure that you won't miss prioritized messages and none of them will be deleted as spam.
Find the contact names in the message body
What can you do when the email address of your recipient doesn't contain their name? This could pose a problem when adding a contact, but there is a useful feature that takes care of such cases. When you write "Dear Tyler" in your reply to t.nations@domain.com, the add-in retrieves the name from the message body to add the contact with the name "Tyler Nations". You can disable automatic name detection in the program settings if you like.
Assign the category to contacts
If you categorize messages when sending them, you can enable the option to assign the same category to the created contacts.
Check the contacts to prevent duplicates
When the add-in creates a contact, it will first make sure there are no duplicate e-mail addresses. The program settings also allow you to search for contact duplicates. Besides, you can save contacts to your personal mailbox, or to the public folders on Microsoft Exchange server.
