Subscription Manager in detail

You can automate the work with distribution lists and offer your subscribers a possibility to subscribe to and unsubscribe from distribution lists without your assistance. No special scripts and services are required on your web-site.

The Subscription Manager for Outlook plugin gives to your users a full control over their subscription, and you won't have to divert your attention to constant requests to add/remove the subscriber to/from the distribution list! Besides the subscription management, the Subscription Manager can automatically inform the user about the status of his/her subscription and send a message with a request, using which the subscriber can administer his/her subscription.

The Subscription Manager plug-in tracks incoming messages, and when one of the key phrases - 'subscribe', 'unsubscribe', and 'help' - is found in the subject line, the program correspondingly updates the distribution lists.

With Subscription Manager plugin you can:

• Automate processing of requests to add/remove addresses to/from the distribution lists.
• Add or remove distribution lists that are available for subscribers with just a few mouse-clicks.

How to work with Subscription Manager plugin

Please make sure the Subscription Manager is enabled.

After you install the MAPILab Toolbox, go to "Tools" -> "MAPILab Toolbox" -> "Options" and make sure the checkbox of the plugin is checked.

Now it is necessary to configure the Subscription Manager plug-in. In the plugin settings (menu "Tools" > "MAPILab Toolbox" > "Subscription Manager" > "Options"), on the "General" tab, select the folder that contains distribution lists to which the user can subscribe. On this tab you can select lists available to subscription:

• All distribution lists in the folder
• Only the lists marked with a flag
• Lists that have the word 'subscribe' in the "Notes" field.

Also select a separate folder for incoming request messages from your subscribers, so that messages won't bother you.

On the "Templates" tab, you can change the view of automatically generated template messages for managing subscribers, and on the "Advanced" tab, you can select additional subscription parameters, e.g. ignoring messages with incorrect commands or mailing account, and additional settings:
