If your contacts include FAX numbers you may have some inconvenience in selecting a mail recipient when a message is created. Microsoft Outlook will show both kinds of contacts in the list: contacts with email addresses and contacts with fax numbers. Moreover, if one contact has an email address and a fax number, the name of the contact will be duplicated, which may cause confusion. But this will never happen if you use the this add-in.
The Hide Fax Numbers Outlook plugin will exclude fax numbers from the contacts list and they won't show up when you create a new message. At the same time fax numbers will be stored in the contacts and you will not lose them.
Please make sure the Hide Fax Numbers is enabled.
After you install the MAPILab Toolbox, go to "Tools" -> "MAPILab Toolbox" -> "Options" and make sure the checkbox of the plugin is checked.
Now, in the plugin's settings (menu "Tools" > "MAPILab Toolbox" > "Hide Fax Numbers"), on the "General" tab, select the desired action: show contacts with fax numbers or hide these contacts. Select the folders to be processed, and set exceptions on the "Contacts" tab. That's all, the Hide Fax Numbers plug-in is ready for work:
