To simplify PivotTables formatting we developed the Pivot Table Helper add-in. This add-in adds several useful buttons to AutoFormat for PivotTables for Excel toolbar:

Select all cells of the selected Pivot Table
Select page fields area of the selected Pivot Table
Select header of the selected Pivot Table
Select blank area of the selected Pivot Table
Select origin of the selected Pivot Table
Select column fields area of the selected Pivot Table
Select row fields area of the selected Pivot Table
Select data fields area of the selected Pivot Table
Select column grand totals area of the selected Pivot Table
Select row grand totals area of the selected Pivot Table
Select subtotals area of the selected pivot field
Select the next subtotal of the selected pivot field
Set number format to the selected pivot field
Increase decimal of the selected pivot field
Decrease decimal of the selected pivot field
Set currency style to the selected pivot field
Add/remove column grand totals
Add/remove row grand totals
Changes the width of the columns of the Pivot Table to achieve the best fit
Changes the height of the rows of the Pivot Table to achieve the best fit
Examine format of the selected Pivot Table
Clear format of the selected Pivot Table
