Fuzzy Duplicates Finder for Excel: developer's description

Fuzzy Duplicates Finder is an Excel add-in that searches for fuzzy duplicates within a list or selected range. Fuzzy Duplicates Finder searches for duplicates that differ in 1 to 6 characters (you specify the number of different characters taken into consideration by Fuzzy Duplicates Finder).

The search results are displayed as a list that allows all possible corrections:

• removal of the unnecessary duplicates;
• setting the right value to all fuzzy duplicates or to some of them automatically;
• correcting some of the found fuzzy duplicates manually.

Excel Fuzzy Duplicates Finder: How it works

1 You select a cell within a column inside your list and run Fuzzy Duplicates Finder:

2 The Fuzzy Duplicates Finder can search for typos in a column of the current list. You specify the number of typos per phrase (cell value) you expect to find (from 1 to 6) and click the Start button. Then Fuzzy Duplicates Finder will search for fuzzy duplicates and quickly find values containing a typo, and will show you all probable mistakes. Now it's up to you whether to correct or to ignore them:

3 To correct typos you can set the right value for all found items or a specific value for each one:

4 Finally, you confirm your changes by clicking the Apply&Close button and Fuzzy Duplicates Finder sets correct values to all found and checked items:

Fuzzy Duplicate Finder for Microsoft Excel works with:

• OS: Microsoft Windows Vista (x32, x64), 2003, Windows XP, 2000.
• Microsoft Excel 2007, Excel 2003, Excel XP (2002), and Excel 2000.
