The Fuzzy Duplicates Finder is purposed for finding fuzzy Excel duplicates that differ in 1-10 symbols, typos, misspelled words and similar records.
Use Duplicate Remover for Excel for finding and deleting absolute duplicatesin one or two Microsoft Excel tables.
The Fuzzy Duplicates Finder add-in searches for fuzzy duplicates in an Excel table or selected range and it can find all partial duplicates that differ in 1 to 10 characters.
The search results are displayed in the add-in's pane organized into duplicate nodes and allow all possible corrections directly in search results:
Fuzzy Duplicate Finder provides a number of additional options for you to tweak the search process according to your needs:
1. Select a cell within a column that you want to check for fuzzy duplicates. To search in several columns or a range of cells, just select them and run Fuzzy Duplicates Finder by clicking on its icon:
2.Specify the maximum number of possible typos, from 1 to 10.
If you want to exclude short words or numbers from search, use the Exclude cells /words with fewer than option to specify the minimum number of characters.
If you want to split the cell's content into separate words and have each word processed individually, check the Split cell data into words option.
Click "Search for Typos" button.
3 To correct typos you can set the right value for all found items in the node or a specific value for each one:
4 Finally, you confirm your changes by clicking the Apply button and Fuzzy Duplicates Finder sets correct values for all selected items.
